Google assume una blogger tech nel suo organico

Caroline McCarthy, una scrittrice di social media presso CNET.com, ha annunciato in un post del 21 aprile, sul suo blog, che entrerà nell’organico di Google a New York, precisamente nel “Trends and Insights Team”, ed anche se la sua mansione non le è stata del tutto specificata, si muoverà comunque tra scrittura, editing e analisi dei dati.

McCarthy entrerà ufficialmente nel team di Google il 16 maggio, ma il suo ultimo giorno a CNET,  sito di news fondato nel 1993 da Halsey Minor e Shelby Bonnie, sarà il 6 maggio. In questo lasso di tempo Caroline si concederà, a sua detta, un viaggio nel deserto in California, un modo per ricaricare le batterie ed iniziare col massimo delle energie il nuovo percorso.

“…I’d like to send out a big thank-you to everyone I’ve met along the way. When I started at CNET I was 21, grossly underqualified, and not sure how long I’d last at this “journalism” thing. In my time covering Facebook, Google, Twitter, and countless start-ups, I’ve learned so much from so many people and am incredibly grateful to you all. Though I’m a bit wistful about checking out of the fourth estate (at least for now), I hope that we can stay in touch as I move into a whole new side of the business…”
